Do you want to learn to draw and paint portraits with vivid living colors? Cloudcroft Art Workshops welcomes back one of Cloudcroft’s very own artists, Hannah Celeste Dean for this exciting class. Hannah has broad experience in creating art and her illustration and painting subjects include abstracts, landscapes, animals, and everyday life – but we have it on good authority that portraits are one of her favorites! Also, previous students have told us they really enjoy Hannah’s approach to teaching – so this is going to be a fun class!
Hannah will guide you in exploring the process of building portraits including gesture, form, and structural drawing/painting foundational skills taught with drawing and water-based media.
About the Instructor: Before moving to Cloudcroft, Hannah taught beginning and advanced drawing, design, and painting courses as an Associate Professor of Art and at Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. Hannah’s work has been featured in many national and international juried exhibitions and publications. Her works are seen in Charles Adams Gallery in Lubbock and Aspen & Ivy in Cloudcroft. Originals and prints are available through Saatchi Art online, Aspen & Ivy Cloudcroft, and Charles Adams Gallery in Lubbock. Prints of her work are available through Artfully Walls and Anthropologie. Hannah also contributes writing to the online arts magazines Glasstire and Southwest Contemporary.
